Voice of Overseas Pakistanis, "Army of One", an International Membership Alliance

Long Term Goals

Our long-term goals are to help Pakistan implement the three fundamental principles, which are essential for any successful society to function effectively:

Justice:

  • Ensure that the rule of law is applied equally to the rich and the poor, male and female, Muslims and non-Muslims.
  • Judicial reforms are made where justice is not delayed and the system is based on fairness, carried through by well qualified judges appointed on merit and higher standards of qualifications.
  • Prosecute the corrupt judges, politicians, military personnel, bureaucrats and others who violate the rule of law.
  • Reform the police and jail system.
  • Track and trace the assets owned by Pakistani politicians, judges, bureaucrats, and military elites hidden in the western countries.
  • Expose the criminals in foreign countries who stole from the national treasures.

Democracy:

  • Demand election reforms and implement checks and balances that separate military, government, and election commission powers.
  • Demand free and fair elections without any intervention by the military elites.
  • Reform the laws to automatically disqualify, remove and terminate benefits of any MPA or MNA who sell their vote against the Party line for personal gain.

Welfare:

  • Develop a roadmap for Pakistan’s economic recovery. Overseas Pakistanis can play a significant role in jumpstarting Pakistan’s economy.
  • Stop the Military intervention in civilian and judicial matters and remove all military involvement not directly ties to national defense.
  • Run an aggressive media campaign through members’ financial support to expose the criminals’ tainted money invested internationally.  Companies doing business with them or their neighbors, employees, and associates will be alerted to make it difficult to do business outside.
  • Judges and military personnel must be held accountable and required to disclose their assets and earnings.
  • Military personnel must have the right to appeal their military trial verdict under the civilian ruled Supreme Court.

Implement a reward based “whistle blower” program with witness protection to collect evidence against the financial criminals – encouraging informants within the government system and the retired community to provide valuable evidence for prosecution.
