Pakistan’s Historical Facts

Pakistan was created on August 14, 1947 – 27 Ramadan 1366 (AH) through complex negotiations led by Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Prior to that, the British Empire occupied and ruled over India for several hundred years.

Hindu majority leaders fought bitterly to stop Pakistan’s creation. Mr. Jinnah’s foresight of two nations has proven right. His worst fears have come true in today’s Hindustan and its discrimination against Muslims and other minorities under BJP government and Prime Minister Modi, (a registered Member of RSS, a Hindu Nationalist and racist organization).

Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, died on September 11, 1948, soon after delivering an independent nation to almost 100 million Muslims – it was a gift to those who desired to live freely without Masters, be it British or Hindu raj.

Initially, Mr. Jinnah was a member of the Congress Party of India, fighting for India’s freedom from its occupiers – the British Empire. As the movement picked up momentum, he started realizing the bad intentions and ill-gotten motives of Hindutva ideology. However, Mr. Jinnah believed that 100 million Muslims are not an ordinary minority and their culture, religion, language, etc., are vastly different from the Hindus. RSS designs were to impose Hindu supremacy on all lower-caste Hindus and other minorities, including Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians, effectively replacing the British Masters with Hindu Supremacy.

Mr. Jinnah joined the young Muslim League political party in pursuit of creating a separate nation where Muslims can coexist freely with other minorities.

Within two months after independence, Pakistan was drawn into a war with Hindustan over Kashmir. The Kashmir issue was addressed by the United Nations; however, it still lingers on and places the Muslims in Kashmir in a stalemate condition.

Liaqat Ali Khan, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan, was sworn in 1947. He was assassinated by CIA-backed operatives – a historical conspiracy that is now proving credible after almost 50 years through declassification of certain classified information under the USA Freedom of Information Act.

Post WWII, the US announced the New World Order. After offering a military deal to India, which was rejected by Nehru, the US struck a deal with Pakistan’s corrupt Army officer Ayub Khan, whose career expedited and became General Ayub Khan. He laid the foundation for this great game of direct and indirect military rule in Pakistan that continues to dominate today after 75 years. The US paid Pakistan $250 Million around 1952 (in today’s currency almost $3 billion), with conditions that it will quadruple its military and join SEATO (South East Asia Treaty Organization), which comprised of US, France, Great Britain, New Zealand, Australia, Philippines, Thailand, and Pakistan. Ever since, US and Pak Armies have maintained military ties that allegedly bypass the foreign office of Pakistani most sensitive military matters between the two countries.

Shortly after Liaqat Ali Khan’s assassination, from 1953 to 1958, the military strongman General Ayub Khan, who later appointed himself as the Field Marshall, served in the civilian governments as Defense and Home Minister.

In 1958, Field Marshal Ayub Khan declared Martial Law in the country and became the ruler of Pakistan for over a decade.

From 1958 to 1967, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto served in several ministries in Field Marshal Ayub Khan’s military regime, including the foreign minister appointment in 1963. Prime Minister Bhutto affectionately referred to the Army ruler Field Marshal Ayub Khan as “Daddy”. Bhutto founded the political party PPP, “Pakistan People’s Party”, which is now inherited by his descendants and remains a privately-held family enterprise.

Power from Bhutto was taken by another dictator, Army General Zia-ul-Haq, who abrogated the constitution and ruled over Pakistan from 1977 to 1988.

Nawaz Sharif’s political career was also incubated under the military dictator Zia-ul-Haq, where he served as the Chief Minister of Punjab under his Martial Law rule and later became a three-time Prime Minister with military support, an assertion that is widely known but unadmitted by the Army. Nawaz Sharif’s political party is known as Pakistan Muslim League N, which is still in power and remains his family heirloom.

From the time the first Prime Minister was assassinated a few years after Pakistan’s birth, foreign intervention by the United States has been an influencing factor through the Military and the Military incubated two civilian parties PPP and PML-N. This group has ruled Pakistan for over 72 of its 76 years of history. At present, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, grandson of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, is allegedly working with the US establishment to become the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. He is a person with no prior political experience or popularity among the public.

Some Pakistani political analysts claim that the Military experimented by manipulating the 2018 elections to put Imran Khan in power. Imran Khan denies that and claims that his elections were stolen by manipulations and his electoral seats were reduced in order to force him into forming a coalition government. This formula suits the Military rulers in controlling the political parties. MQM, PSP, PML-Q, BAP type parties are known as the Army’s poodles and used as political tools to manipulate the government and the Parliamentary affairs.

Pakistan was created so its people can live freely in a democratic society under the rule of law. For decades, the Pakistani public has been duped with misinformation, controlled information, and other tactics to keep the people from suspecting the Military rulers’ control over politics. It is only more recently, with the power of social media and access to information, that the truth started emerging and questions started rising – who really runs Pakistan?

The fact is that the Military organization has been in control for 75 years and designed systems over those years to control politics, security, economy, and other significant institutions, including the election commission and judiciary. A few top military brass Generals’ positions are empowered to control key elements of the country’s governance. People of Pakistan are starting to recognize this harsh reality. Now it is getting harder for the Military to deny or hide behind the smoke and mirrors.

The Generals of today did not design this structure that they occupy. These Generals inherited a system and a culture created by their predecessors. However, they are not obligated to continue following the same line. They have the legal and moral responsibility to undo the wrongs and deliver Pakistan back to its rightful owners – the Citizens.
